Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Membership is a strategic and operational leader responsible for assisting with new member acquisition and supporting the logistics for membership programming events aligned with the annual calendar. This role plays a critical part in expanding the community through targeted outreach, managing acquisition sales funnel from lead generation through onboarding, and ensuring a high-caliber event experience that strengthens engagement and retention.
The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder and skilled executor - capable of balancing proactive outreach, seamless event logistics, and venue coordination. They will work cross-functionally to deliver exceptional events while upholding the quality and consistency that define our member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- In conjunction with, and with direction from, the Director of Membership, drive acquisition pipeline from lead sourcing, prospect qualification, interviews, and final onboarding.
- Lead initial outreach, conduct discovery calls, and manage interview scheduling.
- Track, analyze, and assist in reporting on membership sales funnel.
- Work closely with the Director of Membership to develop a programming calendar for monthly membership events and support on the overall logistics and execution of said events.
- Source and secure venues for monthly and ad hoc events, and work closely with the Director of Membership to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Develop and manage event production timelines, budgets, and run-of-show documents to ensure seamless execution
- Serve as the point of contact on-site at events to oversee setup, guest arrival, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Own Membership CRM. Maintain a deep understanding of member profiles, leveraging data to tailor experiences and increase retention.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in membership management, community building, or client-facing roles with a focus on growth.
- Proven success in owning and growing a membership or customer base through outreach and strategic engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in event logistics and venue sourcing, ideally within hospitality, lifestyle, or cultural spaces.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to operate with autonomy to balance and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Peoplevine (or similar), and scheduling tools like Calendly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events and able to travel on a case by case basis.
The expected salary range for this position is from $88,000 - $125,000 inclusive of base and commission model. Salary offers are based on a range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, and experience.
