Title: Senior Director, Sales & Brand Partnerships

Salary: $150K - $175K (DOE) + Commission
About The Role
Boardroom is seeking an experienced, strategic and creative Senior Director of Sales & Brand Partnerships to join our growing sales team. This role will be responsible for building a robust new-business pipeline across agency and brand-direct partners, crafting compelling partner solutions, and maximizing revenue across our existing content, media, and event offerings.
The ideal candidate is a creative deal-maker with deep industry relationships, a strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The Senior Director of Sales & Partnerships will work closely with the rest of the Sales & Partnerships team as well as the cross functional Boardroom team to drive new business, refine inventory packages, and execute high quality, best-in-class brand partnerships.
This role will report to the Vice President of Revenue and Brand Partnerships and work closely with the rest of the Boardroom leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, pitch and attract new business and clients; both brand direct and agency
- Build and leverage network of brand and agency contacts to help grow proactive business opportunities and robust pipeline
- Directly contribute the overall sales team quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Work with the VP of Sales to develop comprehensive sales packages in partnership with Boardroom’s content and marketing teams that combine assets across our media network and events
- Oversee creation of strategic proposals for prospective partners, working closely with the Sales Strategists
- Iterate and adjust sales packages based on brand/market feedback and shifts in overall content cadence and strategy
- Accurately forecast pipeline, identify opportunities to grow existing and new accounts, and provide comprehensive and thorough reporting on revenue targets and projections
- Stay ahead of the curve on marketplace & platform trends relating to partners’ industries
- Analyze and interpret data and insights to enhance sales optimization, performance and re-engagement opportunities
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in mid to senior sales roles within digital media or sports and entertainment
- Track record of building successful sales strategy, processes, relationships, and packages from the ground up
- Consultative sales approach; ability to translate client needs and KPIs into actionable campaign strategies that fit within Boardroom’s brand voice and content parameters
- Experience selling short and long-form digital video series, live events/experiential, custom social campaigns across platforms (not just paid social amplification), email newsletter and custom content
- Extensive contacts in digital & social media (client and agency side) and brands (specifically, sports/fitness/wellness; tech; entertainment; financial services) with ability to independently build a large pipeline
- Experience successfully developing, closing and managing customized content deals, including both smaller and campaign-based media packages and larger comprehensive offerings ($1MM+)
- Experience collaborating via a co-sales relationship with an agency and/or joint venture partner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted start-up environment, overseeing multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Fluency in the language of digital media: impressions, CTR, CPMs, eCPMs, etc. and proficiency in sales management software, CRM systems and Google suite
- Strong analytical skills to track and measure sales pipeline
- Familiarity and strong enthusiasm for the brand, content verticals and products, and the utility we offer to our audience
